Steven Rogers

Steven Rogers is an American screenwriter and producer, best known for his work on both romantic comedies and acclaimed biographical dramas. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and is a graduate of Sanford Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. Rogers gained significant recognition for writing and producing the 2017 dark comedy I, Tonya, which chronicled the life of figure skater Tonya Harding. For his screenplay, he received nominations for the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay.Prior to I, Tonya, Rogers had a successful career crafting popular romantic comedies, including Hope Floats (1998), Stepmom (1998), Kate & Leopold (2001), P.S. I Love You (2007), and Love the Coopers (2015). His ability to shift between genres demonstrates his versatility as a storyteller. More recently, he created the 2022 miniseries Mike, focusing on the life of boxer Mike Tyson. His upcoming project, "Everything's Going to Be Great" (2025), is another comedy-drama.
