Sudeep Sanjeev, popularly known as Kichcha Sudeepa, is a highly celebrated Indian actor, director, producer, screenwriter, singer, and television presenter, primarily working in the Kannada film industry (Sandalwood). Born on September 2, 1973, in Shimoga, Karnataka, he holds a degree in Industrial and Production Engineering but transitioned to acting after attending the Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai. He began his film career in 1997, gaining his first major breakthrough and the famous moniker "Kichcha" for his critically acclaimed performance in the 2001 film Huchcha. Sudeep is a highly versatile and influential figure, having starred in over 50 films and receiving numerous accolades, including three consecutive Filmfare Awards for Best Actor – Kannada.He achieved pan-Indian recognition with his powerful roles outside of Kannada cinema, including the antagonist in S. S. Rajamouli's Telugu-Tamil bilingual fantasy film, Eega (2012) (Naan Ee in Tamil), which earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu. Sudeep's versatile filmography includes other notable appearances in Hindi cinema, such as Phoonk (2008), Rakta Charitra (2010), and Dabangg 3 (2019), as well as playing the role of Aslam Khan in Baahubali: The Beginning. Beyond films, Sudeep has been the host of the hugely successful reality show Bigg Boss Kannada since 2013 and also captained the Karnataka Bulldozers cricket team in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), further cementing his superstar status and diverse appeal across different media platforms. His most recent film, the action-thriller Max, was released in 2024, and his upcoming film is the action entertainer Mark, slated for release in December 2025.
