Suhaas Ahuja (born November 12, 1977, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu) is a multifaceted Indian actor, composer, singer-songwriter, and former VJ, known for his strong roots in theatre and versatile presence in film, television, and web series. Raised in a theatre-oriented family (mother Sushmaa Ahuja), he studied film at Middlebury College in the US before beginning his career in Chennai as a VJ for Southern Spice Music and starring in the English-language film Knock Knock, I'm Looking to Marry (2003). After moving to Mumbai in 2005, Suhaas expanded into assistant directing and notable theatre productions (such as Gates to India Song, A Peasant of El Salvador, Bull, The Threepenny Opera, and The Mirror Crack’d) while also pursuing music composition. His breakthrough film role came as Sanjay Kejriwal in Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012), followed by performances in Katti Batti (2015), Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2016), and the award-winning short Waterbaby (2016). On the small screen, Suhaas appeared in popular TV series like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, and P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke. He has gained acclaim in web series such as Out of Love, M.O.M. – Mission Over Mars, The Married Woman, Shiksha Mandal, Marzi, and Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs . In cinema and streaming, he’s also featured in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023) and Sister Midnight (2024). He is also the frontman of The Suhaas Ahuja Band, a singer-songwriter collective whose track “Phantom In The Fog” was a finalist in the 2019 Nexa Music Lounge, showcasing his musical talents. On the personal front, Suhaas married Ratnabali Bhattacharjee in 2011 (divorced 2014) and later married production designer Shruti Gupte on February 14, 2017.
