Susan Wokoma is an award-winning British actress, writer, and director known for her dynamic and versatile performances in comedy and drama. Born in London on December 31, 1987, to Nigerian parents, she began her acting career at a young age, joining the National Youth Theatre and later training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).Wokoma first gained widespread recognition for her work in television comedies. She played the hilarious and outspoken Cynthia in Michaela Coel's BAFTA-winning series Chewing Gum and starred as Raquel in the E4/Netflix horror-comedy series Crazyhead, for which she won an RTS Best On-Screen Performance award in 2017. Her film career includes roles as the fierce feminist street fighter Edith in the Netflix films Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2, and appearances in films such as The Inbetweeners 2 and The Beautiful Game.Beyond acting, Wokoma is also a talented writer and director.
