Talia Shire is an acclaimed American actress, best known for her iconic roles as Connie Corleone in The Godfather trilogy and Adrian Balboa in the Rocky series. Born Talia Rose Coppola on April 25, 1946, in New York City, she hails from the renowned Coppola family. Her father, composer Carmine Coppola, and mother, Italia Pennino, were both of Italian descent. Her brothers include director Francis Ford Coppola and academic August Coppola, and she is the aunt of actors Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman, and director Sofia Coppola .
