Originally from the suburbs of Paris, France, and of French and Italian ancestry, Canestraro was a highly accomplished athlete from a young age. He became a 2-time Kickboxing World Champion and a 21-time National Champion over a 22-year athletic career. He also holds a Master's degree in Athletic Training from the National Institute of Physical Education (INSEP) in France, an institution known for training elite athletes.In 2011, Canestraro moved to New York City to pursue interests in acting, modeling, and personal training. He has appeared in several films and television shows, including The Expendables 3, Extraction, Isn't It Romantic, And Just Like That, The Equalizer, and the upcoming Kiss of the Spider Woman (2025). He is also an experienced stunt performer, with credits on shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Gotham, and It Ends with Us.
