Holding British, Swiss, and German citizenship, he was raised bilingually in English and German across Zambia, Iran, and Germany. Douglas graduated from the University of Hamburg's drama school in 1999 and subsequently joined Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich and Theater Basel, where he performed from 2001 to 2005. He later became a member of the independent theater group CapriConnection, collaborating with director Anna Sophie Mahler on international tours spanning France, Germany, and China. With over 80 theater and more than 70 film productions to his credit, Douglas has showcased his adaptability across various genres. His film career gained momentum with roles in Manipulation (2012), The Billion Dollar Code (2021), and Sew Torn (2024). Notably, he portrayed Ralph in the Netflix miniseries The Billion Dollar Code, which expanded his international recognition. In 2022, Douglas took on the role of Principal Lexington in the Amazon Prime series Maxton Hall, which premiered in early summer 2024.
