Tia Mowry

Tia Dashon Mowry (born July 6, 1978, in Gelnhausen, Hesse, West Germany) is a highly successful American actress, producer, author, and entrepreneur, widely regarded as a 1990s pop culture icon. She first achieved widespread fame starring alongside her twin sister, Tamera Mowry, in the hit sitcom Sister, Sister (1994–1999), where she played the role of Tia Landry, a twin separated at birth and reunited as a teenager. After the show's run, Mowry attended Pepperdine University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She successfully transitioned to adult roles, starring as Dr. Melanie Barnett-Davis in the comedy-drama series The Game (2006–2015) and later as Stephanie Phillips in the Nickelodeon series Instant Mom (2013–2015), in addition to lead roles in films like Twitches and Baggage Claim. Beyond acting, Mowry has built a multi-faceted brand, having hosted her own cooking show, Tia Mowry at Home (2015–2017), authored cookbooks like The Quick Fix Kitchen, and launched her own haircare line, 4u by Tia. She also starred in the Netflix series Family Reunion (2019–2022) and recently returned to reality television with the docuseries Tia Mowry: My Next Act (2024), chronicling her life post-divorce from actor Cory Hardrict, with whom she shares two children.
