Tikhon Zhiznevsky, born on August 30, 1988, is a prominent Russian film and theater actor. He is a graduate of the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and, since 2009, has been an actor at the Alexandrinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. While he has a strong background in theater, he has gained significant popularity and international recognition for his work in cinema.Zhiznevsky is best known for his portrayal of the titular character, police Major Igor Grom, in the popular Russian superhero film franchise based on the Bubble Comics. He first took on the role in the 2021 film Major Grom: Plague Doctor, and reprised his role in the 2024 sequel, Major Grom: The Game. His performance as the heroic, though often reckless, detective has earned him critical and fan acclaim. His other notable film roles include the drama Fire (2020) and the historical film First Oscar (2022). In 2021, he was awarded the "Avans" prize for best young actor by The Hollywood Reporter Russia.
