Timothy Innes
Timothy Innes is an English actor widely recognized for his main role as King Edward the Elder in the popular Netflix historical drama series, 'The Last Kingdom', which he played across the final three seasons (Series 3-5, from 2018 to 2022). Born on November 1, 1993, in Crawley, West Sussex, Innes is a graduate of the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His professional career began in 2016, and he secured a recurring role early on as Benjamin Lennox in the first series of the period drama Harlots (2017). His film credits include a small part as a Footman in the Oscar-winning film 'The Favourite' (2018), as well as appearances in The Sense of an Ending (2017) and Ashes in the Snow (2018). Most recently, Innes was seen on the big screen in the 2025 Netflix Christmas romantic comedy 'A Merry Little Ex-Mas' as Nigel, the British boyfriend of the main couple's daughter. A versatile performer, he has also worked in theatre, playing Algernon Moncrieffe in a 2022 production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
