Timothy Olyphant, born on May 20, 1968, in Honolulu, Hawaii, is an American actor with a diverse and acclaimed career in both film and television. Raised in Modesto, California, Olyphant was a competitive swimmer in his youth before pursuing acting. He made his off-Broadway debut in 1995 and won a Theatre World Award for his performance in "The Monogamist."Olyphant transitioned to film with early roles in "Scream 2," "Go," and "Gone in 60 Seconds," often portraying memorable antagonists. He gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Sheriff Seth Bullock in the HBO Western series "Deadwood" (2004-2006) and later reprised the role in the 2019 film "Deadwood: The Movie." His leading role as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens in the FX series "Justified" (2010-2015) earned him critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination.
