Tobias van Dieken
Tobias van Dieken is a German actor, born in 1980 in Bonn, Germany. He is an established figure in German film, television, and theatre, having received his acting training from 2000 to 2004 at the prestigious Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. Since 2003, he has been a permanent ensemble member of the Münchner Volkstheater (Munich People's Theatre), where he has appeared in numerous stage productions including Lulu, Woyzeck, and Die Dreigroschenoper (The Threepenny Opera). On screen, he is known for a wide variety of roles in both cinema and television, with notable film appearances in Sommersturm (Summer Storm) (2004), Männer wie wir (Guys and Balls) (2004), 13 Semester (2009), and the 2021 film Das Schwarze Quadrat (The Black Square). In television, he has starred in series and films such as Väter allein zu Haus (Fathers Home Alone), various Inga Lindström movies, and Familie Anders. He is slated to appear in the highly anticipated 2025 comedy Western sequel, Das Kanu des Manitu (Manitou's Canoe), directed by Michael Bully Herbig. Standing 1.86 meters tall, van Dieken is multilingual, speaking German, English, French, and Italian, and is proficient in several German dialects, including Kölsch and Bairisch.
