Tommaso Ragno is an Italian actor renowned for his work in theatre, film, and television. Born on June 1, 1967, in Vieste, Apulia, he studied acting at the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Art in Milan. Ragno began his acting career in 1988 with a stage production of La seconda generazione, a collection of pieces by Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides, directed by Mario Martone. He has since collaborated extensively with Martone and other notable directors, including Paolo Virzì, Alice Rohrwacher, and Nanni Moretti . In 2022, Ragno won the Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Mario Martone's Nostalgia . He also starred in the 2024 film Vermiglio, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and was Italy's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards .
