Tommy Dewey is an American actor, producer, and writer, born on August 3, 1978, in Birmingham, Alabama. He is an alumnus of Princeton University, where he studied at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. While at Princeton, he initially intended to pursue a different career path but found his passion for acting through campus theater and improv comedy groups.Dewey is perhaps best known for his co-starring role as Alex Cole in the Hulu original series "Casual" (2015-2018). His television credits also include recurring roles in "The Mindy Project" as Josh Daniels, and appearances in "What I Like About You," "The Mountain," "Code Black," "Pivoting," "Perry Mason," "Killing It," and a voice role as Stu Pickles in the animated "Rugrats" reboot.In film, Dewey has appeared in movies such as "17 Again" (2009), "Step Up Revolution" (2012), "Book Club" (2018), and "The Front Runner" (2018). Most recently, he starred as the titular "Monster" in the 2024 romantic comedy-horror film "Your Monster," a role he also played in the 2019 short film on which the feature is based. In "Your Monster," he portrays a terrifying yet charming creature who encourages the protagonist to embrace her inner rage and find her voice. Beyond acting, Dewey has also served as an executive producer on projects like "Now We're Talking" and "Your Monster."
