Tosin Morohunfola is an American actor, writer, and director, a proud son of Nigerian immigrants, who grew up and is based in Kansas City. He is known for his work in both independent filmmaking and mainstream television and film, often focusing on telling stories about empathy, awareness, and belonging.Morohunfola graduated from the University of Kansas, where he notably founded the Multicultural Theatre Initiative (MTI). His television career includes recurring roles on popular series such as OWN's Love Is, Showtime's The Chi, The CW's Black Lightning, and he was a series regular on Starz's Run The World as Olabisi 'Ola' Adeyemo. He has also guest-starred on shows like NCIS and Stumptown, and recently appeared in the Paramount+ series Lawmen: Bass Reeves.In film, Morohunfola has co-starred in projects like the action-heist movie 1992, the romantic comedy Always A Bridesmaid (Netflix), and the psychological thriller Black Box (Amazon/Blumhouse). He also co-led the Black soldier story The 24th (2020) and is an independent filmmaker with festival-selected shorts like "Endowed" and "On Sight."Most recently, Tosin Morohunfola starred as the romantic lead, Ridge, in the 2025 Prime Video film, Tyler Perry's Finding Joy.
