Tracy Letts is a highly acclaimed American actor, playwright, and screenwriter, renowned for his multifaceted contributions to both theatre and film. Born on July 4, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he is the son of acclaimed novelist Billie Letts and actor Dennis Letts.Letts gained significant recognition for his powerful and often dark plays, which explore themes of family dysfunction, addiction, and the human condition. His most celebrated play, "August: Osage County" (2007), earned him both the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award for Best Play in 2008. He has also penned other notable plays such as "Killer Joe" (1993), "Bug" (1996), "Man from Nebraska" (2003, Pulitzer finalist), "Superior Donuts" (2008), "Linda Vista" (2017), and "The Minutes" (2017, Pulitzer finalist).
