Tyler Posey is an American actor and musician, born on October 18, 1991, in Santa Monica, California, to Cyndi Terese Garcia and actor-writer John Posey. Growing up in Santa Clarita, California, he is the middle of three brothers and is of Mexican descent on his mother's side.Posey began his career at a very young age, appearing in commercials at five and making his film debut with a small role in Men of Honor (2000). His early notable roles include playing Jennifer Lopez's son in Maid in Manhattan (2002) and a recurring lead role as Raul Garcia in the TV series Doc (2001-2004). He gained widespread recognition for his starring role as Scott McCall in the MTV fantasy series Teen Wolf, which aired from 2011 to 2017.Beyond Teen Wolf, Posey has a diverse film and television resume, including appearances in Collateral Damage (2002), Legendary (2010), White Frog (2012), Scary Movie 5 (2013), Yoga Hosers (2016), Truth or Dare (2018), and The Last Summer (2019). He has also had roles in TV series such as Jane the Virgin, Scream: The TV Series, and Workaholics. More recently, he reprised his role in Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023) and appeared in Queen of the Ring (2024).In addition to his acting, Posey is also a musician.
