Vardaan Arora
Vardaan Arora (born April 22, 1992) is an Indian-born American actor, recording artist, and songwriter based in New York City, recognized for his contributions to both the independent pop music scene and the horror film genre. Born in New Delhi, he attended The British School before moving to the United States to study theatre at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Arora first gained widespread attention as a musician in 2016 with his debut "Feel Good Song," which charted on Spotify’s Viral 50 and led to him being named one of Billboard’s "12 LGBTQ Musicians to Discover." As an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and mental health awareness, he has used his platform to discuss his experiences growing up gay in India and his journey with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In his acting career, Arora achieved a major milestone with his role in the 2021 reboot of Wrong Turn (also known as Wrong Turn: The Foundation), where he played Gary Amaan. His character, part of a gay couple with Luis (played by Adrian Favela), was central to the film's early tension and provided a modern, diverse update to the franchise's traditional character tropes. Beyond Wrong Turn, his screen credits include the Netflix psychological thriller series Gypsy (2017) and the musical drama The Ultimate Playlist of Noise (2021). As a musician, he released his debut EP, Heartbreak on the Dance Floor, in 2020 to critical acclaim from outlets like Rolling Stone and Billboard. As of 2026, Arora continues to be a prolific creator, recently releasing his latest EP, Dream Again, and singles such as "Good Things" and "Addicted to Sad," further establishing his unique "dark-pop" sound while remaining a prominent voice for South Asian and queer representation in entertainment.
