Vasilina Petrovna Makovtseva (born November 14, 1977, in Turukhansk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia) is a distinguished Russian actress celebrated for her compelling performances in both theater and film. Raised in a family with a strong artistic inclination—her grandfather was involved in provincial theater productions—Makovtseva developed an early passion for the arts. She studied piano at the Krasnoyarsk College of Arts for four years before pursuing acting at the Yekaterinburg Theatre Institute, where she graduated in 2003. Upon graduation, Makovtseva joined the Kolyaada Theatre in Yekaterinburg, a company renowned for its avant-garde productions.
