Vijayaraghavan is a veteran Indian actor who primarily works in Malayalam cinema. Born in Malakkara, Kerala, he is the son of the late legendary actor N. N. Pillai. He began his career in the early 1970s and has since appeared in over 400 films, playing a diverse range of characters from antagonist to supporting roles.He is widely regarded for his versatility and has become a fixture in Malayalam cinema, known for his ability to portray powerful and authoritative characters, as well as comedic and emotional roles. Some of his most memorable performances can be seen in films like Devasuram, Aaraam Thampuran, Joker, Ustad Hotel, and Maheshinte Prathikaaram. His role as the patriarch in Ustad Hotel is particularly noted for its emotional depth and nuance. In addition to his acting career, he is also a well-known theatre personality, carrying on his father's legacy. He appeared in the 2025 film Lokah: Chapter One - Chandra.
