Perez gained prominence in French cinema with roles in Cyrano de Bergerac (1990), Indochine (1992), and La Reine Margot (1994), earning a César nomination for Most Promising Actor for his performance in Cyrano de Bergerac. In Hollywood, he starred as Ashe Corven in The Crow: City of Angels (1996) and Marius de Romanus in Queen of the Damned (2002). His other notable films include Le Bossu (1997), I Dreamed of Africa (2000), The Aeronauts (2019), and At Eternity’s Gate (2018). Beyond acting, Perez is an accomplished photographer. He has exhibited his work at renowned festivals and galleries, including the Rencontres d'Arles and the RuArts Gallery in Moscow. His exhibitions have featured portraits of celebrities such as Carla Bruni, Johnny Hallyday, and Gérard Depardieu.
