Werner Biermeier

Werner Biermeier is a Swiss actor born on February 18, 1961, in Winterthur, Switzerland. Before pursuing a career in acting, he completed his Matura in Altdorf in 1981 and studied law and political science at the University of Zurich until 1984. He also trained as a pastry chef at the renowned Sprüngli Confiserie in Zurich and worked in his family's business until 1998. Following an unfriendly takeover of the company, Biermeier decided to change careers and moved to New York City to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute from 1998 to 2000. During this time, he also took singing lessons at the Singers Forum in New York and with Ilka Lo Monaco. Biermeier made his stage debut in 1999 at the Lucerne Theatre in the production "Hinter den Sieben Bergen" by F.X. Nager and Christoph Baumann. His first film appearance was in 2000 in the New York-based film "Nancy & Frank" directed by Wolf Gremm. After relocating to Berlin in 2001, he worked as a freelance actor in various cities, including Munich, Florence, London, and Switzerland, participating in numerous theater, film, and television productions. In 2009, Biermeier performed at the Seeburgtheater in Kreuzlingen, portraying the character Giesecke in the operetta "Im weißen Rößl" by Benatzky. He has since continued to work in the entertainment industry, building a diverse portfolio of roles across different mediums.
