Will Speck is an American film director, producer, and writer, renowned for his work in comedy and animation. Born on December 31, 1969, in New York City, he attended the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he met his long-time collaborator, Josh Gordon. Together, they form the acclaimed directing duo Speck & Gordon. Their early short film, Culture (1997), starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, earned them an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film, marking a significant milestone in their careers. Speck and Gordon made their feature directorial debut with the 2007 comedy Blades of Glory, starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder. The film was both a critical and commercial success, grossing over $145 million worldwide. They continued their successful collaboration with films like The Switch (2010), Office Christmas Party (2016), and Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022).
