Wong Cho-Lam

Wong Cho-lam (王祖藍), born Wong Ho-yin on January 9, 1980, is a multifaceted Hong Kong entertainer renowned for his work as an actor, television host, singer, lyricist, and scriptwriter. A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, he earned first-class honors in 2003, receiving multiple accolades including the Outstanding Student Award and Outstanding Actor Award. His early exposure to the performing arts was influenced by his secondary school mentor, Paul Lo, who introduced him to voice acting techniques. Wong's career began at TVB, where he initially hosted children's programs and later transitioned to variety shows. His notable acting roles include his portrayal of Lau Wah in the popular TVB series Best Selling Secrets (同事三分親). In 2008, he signed with Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) and released his debut album, Cho-lam Everywhere, in which he wrote lyrics for eight of the ten tracks. He also co-hosted the Miss Hong Kong Pageants in 2008 and 2010. In 2014, Wong expanded his career by joining the Chinese variety show Keep Running, the Chinese adaptation of Running Man. He left EEG in 2014 to focus on other ventures and established his own production company, Tailor Made Production Limited, in 2016. In 2021, he was appointed as TVB's Chief Creative Officer, aiming to enhance the company's content creation and digital media presence. Beyond his professional achievements, Wong is known for his personal life. He married actress Leanne Li in 2015, and the couple has two daughters, Gabrielle and Hayley. Wong is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts and has been honored as one of Hong Kong's Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 2012.
