Wrenn Schmidt
Melinda Wrenn Schmidt (born February 18, 1983) is an American actress best known for her television and film work, frequently traversing different genres and mediums. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a B.F.A. in theatre studies and history and began her career on the stage in New York City, appearing in both Off-Broadway and Broadway productions, including a national tour of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Schmidt has gained recognition for several prominent television roles, most notably starring as the brilliant, ambitious NASA engineer Margo Madison in the Apple TV+ alternate history drama series For All Mankind (2019–2024). Her other notable TV credits include Julia Sagorsky in the period drama Boardwalk Empire (2012–2013), the KGB handler Kate in The Americans (2014), and Dr. Iris Campbell in Person of Interest (2014–2016). In film, she has appeared in I Saw the Light (2015), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), and the science-fiction horror film Nope (2022). She is also featured in the 2025 film Nuremberg as Elsie Douglas, the secretary to Robert H. Jackson.
