Wunmi Mosaku is a Nigerian-born British actress who was born on July 31, 1986, in Zaria, Nigeria. At the age of one, she emigrated with her family to Manchester, England. She pursued her passion for acting by studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she graduated in 2007 with a BA in Acting. Mosaku began her professional acting career in 2006 and has since built a diverse and acclaimed body of work in film and television. She gained early recognition for her roles in the TV series "Moses Jones" (2009), for which she won Best Actress in a Miniseries at the Rome Fiction Festival, and "Vera" (2011-2012). Her breakthrough role came in the TV film "Damilola, Our Loved Boy" (2016), for which she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress. Mosaku has continued to impress with her performances in series like "Luther" (2019), "Lovecraft Country" (2020), which earned her a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination, and the Marvel series "Loki" (2021-2023), where she played Hunter B-15. She also received critical acclaim for her leading role in the film "His House" (2020), winning a British Independent Film Award for Best Actress and earning a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
