Ximena Romo Mercado is a Mexican actress and model born on April 14, 1990, in Mexico City. She is the daughter of Mexican politician Patricia Mercado and Horacio Romo Vázquez, the former head of the Mexican electricians' union. Romo pursued her acting education at the Casazul Artes Escénicas Argos in Mexico and further honed her skills by obtaining a Master of Arts in contemporary acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London. Her career spans a wide range of film and television projects. She is well-known for her role as Nora Gaxiola in the Televisa telenovela El color de la pasión. Some of her notable film credits include "This Is Not Berlin" (2019), for which she was nominated for an Ariel Award, and her role in "Como si fuera la primera vez" (2019). On the small screen, she has appeared in series such as Señorita 89, Un extraño enemigo, and the biographical series María Félix: La Doña, where she played a young María Félix. In addition to her acting, Romo has also worked as a producer, co-producing the short film El retrete de Elena. She is a versatile actress who has worked in both independent and major productions in Mexico and beyond, including the 2025 film "Looking Through Water."
