Yang Dong-geun (born June 1, 1979), often referred to by his stage name YDG, is a multi-talented South Korean entertainer, widely celebrated as both an actor and a prominent figure in the Korean hip-hop scene. He began his career as a child actor in 1987, gaining early recognition for roles in television shows like Seoul Ttukbaegi (1990) and Hyung (1991), and even won a Best Young Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 1991. Yang successfully transitioned into adult roles, starring in hit dramas such as Ruler of Your Own World (2002), for which he won an MBC Drama Award, and films like Wild Card (2003) and the martial arts biopic Fighter in the Wind (2004).
