Yasmin Kassim

Yasmin Kassim is a versatile South Asian Australian artist, excelling as a writer, comedian, and actress, originally from Perth, Western Australia. Born on May 21, 1990, she began her performance career at age six and has trained extensively, including at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York. As an actress, she is well-known for her role as Shay Quill on the Australian soap opera Neighbours and for co-starring opposite Daniel Radcliffe in the feature film Jungle (2017) and Kelsey Grammer in Guardians of the Tomb (2017). She was one of the first Australians selected for the CBS Comedy Diversity Showcase, which launched her stand-up comedy career, performing regularly at venues like The Laugh Factory. As a writer, she co-wrote the feature film Prawn Curry Christmas and the award-winning short film To the Death with Menik Gooneratne. Her upcoming acting credits include the feature films Anaconda (2025), Bear Country, and Spa Weekend, and she is also credited as the comedy punch-up writer for You Always, in which she also plays Adrian Grenier's love interest.
