José Carlos "Yayo" Guridi (born November 6, 1965, in Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina) is a popular Argentine actor, comedian, musician, and former economist. He initially pursued a career in economics, even serving as an adviser to the Ministry of Economy. However, he found his true calling in entertainment. His rise to fame began in 1995 when he joined the highly popular Argentine comedy show "Videomatch," where he became known for his absurd, often vulgar and off-color humor in various sketches.Over the years, he has continued to be a prominent figure in Argentine television, appearing in shows like "Sin codificar," where his humor became somewhat less provocative. As an actor, his film credits include "Phase 7" (2010), "Bañeros III, todopoderosos" (2006), "27: The Cursed Club" (2018), and "The Heart Knows" (2025). Yayo Guridi is also a musician and has been married to Claudia Viqueira since 1992, with whom he has two children.
