Ye Su-jeong, born Kim Soo-jeong on March 25, 1955, in Jongno, Seoul, is a highly respected South Korean actress with a career spanning over four decades in theatre, film, and television. After studying German Literature at Korea University, she made her professional stage debut in 1979 in the play "A Woman Named Solitude." She further honed her craft by pursuing a master's degree in dramatics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in Germany.Ye Su-jeong is celebrated for her versatility and ability to inhabit a wide range of supporting and character roles, often leaving a strong impression even in brief appearances. Her extensive filmography includes numerous critically acclaimed works such as "Save the Green Planet!" (2003), "Hwang Jin Yi" (2007), "The Thieves" (2012), and "Haemoo" (2014). She gained significant international recognition for her role as In-gil, an elderly passenger, in the hit zombie film "Train to Busan" (2016), and for her poignant portrayal of Ja-hong's mute mother in the blockbuster fantasy film "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" (2017) and its sequel "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days" (2018), for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 2nd Seoul Awards. Her powerful performance in the independent film "An Old Lady" (2019) also garnered her critical acclaim.
