Yu Shi, also known as Yosh Yu or Ashan Yu, is a rising Chinese actor and singer-songwriter of Mongolian descent, born on December 22, 1996, in Lingyuan, Chaoyang, Liaoning Province, China. His journey into the entertainment industry was rather unconventional; at 13, he initially pursued a basketball career, training at the Fuxin Basketball School for five years and later being recommended for a basketball major at Liaoning Technical University. His diverse talents also include music, as he began learning to play guitar and sing at 17. In 2014, he participated in the talent show "The Voice of Chinese Dream" and even briefly became a trainee at South Korea's SM Entertainment.Yu Shi gained widespread recognition for his breakthrough role as Ji Fa, the second son of Ji Chang and the future leader of Xiqi, in the epic "Creation of the Gods" film trilogy. This includes "Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms" (2023) and "Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force" (2025).
