Zhang Xiaofei is a highly accomplished Chinese actress and comedian, born on January 10, 1986, in Anshan, Liaoning. After studying dance at Minzu University of China, she graduated as a top student from the Beijing Film Academy in 2009. Her career initially involved dramatic acting roles, but she eventually transitioned to comedy after joining the China Broadcasting Performing Arts Group, where she met comedian Jia Ling. This partnership became pivotal: Zhang Xiaofei became the first artist signed to Jia Ling's Big Bowl Entertainment in 2016 and gained widespread recognition for her frequent, memorable performances in sketch comedy on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Her massive breakthrough and ascent to A-list movie stardom came with her touching portrayal of the mother, Li Huanying, in the 2021 record-breaking, semi-autobiographical film Hi, Mom, which earned her the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actress. She has since starred in other major films, including a significant role as the sister Du Ledan in the 2024 hit YOLO, solidifying her reputation as one of the most bankable and respected actresses in Chinese cinema.
