Zhao Haiyan (Chinese: 赵海燕) is a prominent Chinese actress, known for her work in film and television, particularly in comedic and character roles. Born on January 11, 1974, she is an experienced performer who has been nominated for a Golden Rooster Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2019 film Almost a Comedy.Her recent and most notable role is as the "Mom" in the blockbuster 2024 film YOLO (Rè là gǔntàng), where she plays the supportive, yet sometimes exasperated, mother of the protagonist Du Leying (played by Jia Ling). She is often associated with roles in Northeastern Chinese comedy productions and has also appeared in other works such as My People, My Homeland (2020) as Aunt Li and the TV series Love Stories in the Countryside (2006) as Yongqiang Niang.
