Zhong Chuxi (Chinese: 钟楚曦; born March 18, 1993), also known as Elaine Zhong, is a prominent Chinese actress. Born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, she began her dance training at the age of three and later graduated from the College of Dance at the Shanghai Theatre Academy, initially aspiring to be a dancer. However, she transitioned into acting, making her debut in 2013 with the series New Detective.Zhong Chuxi's breakthrough role came in Feng Xiaogang's critically acclaimed 2017 film Youth, where her performance earned her several "Best Newcomer" awards, including at the 1st Marianas International Film Festival, the 23rd Huading Awards, and the 25th Beijing College Student Film Festival, as well as nominations for Best New Performer at the 54th Golden Horse Film Festival and Best Newcomer at the 12th Asian Film Awards. This success propelled her to wider recognition, leading to a main role opposite Jackie Chan in The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang (2019).She has since built a diverse filmography, showcasing her versatility in various genres.
