After the release of Kraven the Hunter in December 2024, fans have been eager to know: will there be a Kraven the Hunter 2? Unfortunately, the outlook isn’t promising.

Sony Pictures has not officially announced a sequel, and reports suggest the studio is putting its Spider-Man Universe projects on hold following a string of underwhelming performances—including Kraven, which struggled both critically and at the box office. Despite a cliffhanger ending that teased a potential showdown with Chameleon and hinted at deeper storylines involving The Jackal, the film’s poor reception may have sealed its fate.

Still, director J.C. Chandor and star Aaron Taylor-Johnson have expressed interest in continuing Kraven’s journey, particularly with a possible adaptation of the iconic Kraven’s Last Hunt storyline. Whether that happens in a standalone sequel or through a crossover in the MCU remains to be seen.

For now, Kraven the Hunter 2 remains a possibility—but not a priority.
