Fans of Jane Schoenbrun’s haunting psychological horror I Saw the TV Glow have been buzzing with one question: Will there be a sequel? While nothing is officially confirmed, Schoenbrun has openly teased the possibility of returning to the film’s surreal universe.

In interviews, the director shared that they’ve “been thinking about it for quite a while” and hinted at exploring the story “from the other side of a looking glass”. Inspired by Twin Peaks: The Return, Schoenbrun envisions a follow-up that would offer a fresh perspective on the characters’ journeys—particularly Owen’s emotional and identity-driven arc.

Although plot details remain under wraps, Schoenbrun has expressed interest in reuniting with original stars Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine. So while a sequel isn’t guaranteed, the door is definitely open—and fans have reason to stay hopeful.

For now, I Saw the TV Glow stands as a powerful, standalone exploration of identity, repression, and the transformative power of pop culture. But if Schoenbrun gets their way, we may not have seen the last flicker of that eerie, glowing screen.
