    Good to watch

I am a fan of Channing Tatum so he can not do no wrong in my eyes. With that being said I did enjoy this movie very much and the character he portrayed was very different to what he usually plays. I will not spoil the movie for anyone as it is an eye opener, it is a must watch movie. You will not be disappointed.

Failed opportunity to tell a unique story. No saving grace, so I would avoid.

Overall, probably not worth your time to watch. The reason for 2 stars is because the concept is interesting/unique, which is its ONLY redeeming factor.Acting: 1/5. Channing Tatum is far from being a superstar actor, but here he delivers one of the least compelling performances I’ve ever seen. At the start of the movie he’s supposed to be some cool yet mysterious billionaire, but instead he comes across like a frat boy living in his own fraternity. We are introduced to his “crew,” yet there’s no indication that they’re anything but strangers. There’s no validity. There’s nothing compelling about the performance. He goes from frat boy, to laughable evil genius, to what I can only describe as the acting equivalent of a fresh apple pie, squashed by an elephant. The main actress was an awful casting call as she fails to sell her character AT ALL. She’s a timid wallflower, who somehow was a master plotter the whole time? Unreal. Adria Arjona would have been better cast in the lead female role, with Naomi Ackie as a supporting actress. Adria’s character was probably the only believable character in the entire movie.Story: 2.5/5. The story (in concept) is interesting. The way it is told is horrible, and it’s very difficult to make sense of during the movie. It all sort of comes together in the final ten minutes, but not in a shocking plot twist sort of way. More of a, “oh good, the movie is finally starting” sort of way. Don’t let the story score fool you though – the entire thing is told in an absolutely awful way. The cuts are so odd and make no sense. It comes off as a really odd art film that a college freshman might get a D+ on during film class. There are also so many glaring plot holes that never get explained. The whole “red robin” thing makes no sense considering (a) it’s a rabbit, and (b) the film gives you maybe 5 minutes exploring that theme at the end of the movie (despite introducing it at the beginning). They introduce this concept, then play on it throughout the whole movie, only to resolve the plot with an incorrect, and underwhelming delivery with unsatisfactory explanation.Lastly is the cinematography and direction. 0/5. They used all the cliche scenes and camera angles while trying to tell a unique story. It failed woefully. Whoever makes a movie and thinks, “let’s do every shot from behind over the shoulder,” or “whenever we put more than one person in scene, let’s put ALL of them in scene,” or “let’s occasionally throw a scene in with a plot explanation device, but only for half a second, and then move on and never come back to it,” deserves to have their SAG membership permanently withdrawn. One final note – I pulled up the wikipedia just to double check the names of the actors. The wikipedia page has more information than can possible be gleaned from the movie. For instance, the lead female was “an animal themed nail artist,” yet this never comes out in the movie. Zoe Kravitz should be embarrassed by this film, which should never have made it out of the editor’s studio.

Psychedelic Vodoo Yacht rock party gone awry

I watched the whole thing. Used plot: innocent and attractive normal people get lured to a private island by rich people to be hunted on some level for sport. The voodoo charm aspect was sort of cool and creative, momentary loss of memory redeemd with herbal charms and ingesting snake venom supplied by the native maid who no speak English; but certain scenes like the sweat lodge were cringworthy for anyone whom ever attended an actual sweat. There wasn’t even any steam, and the door was wide open, so it wasn’t convincing. The constant smoking of blunts by Yacht rock fashion clad dudes got old too. Interesing twist at the very end. B movie, but had some fun parts. Not bad free entertainment for a Wednessday night.

    Very Cool Movie!

I really enjoyed this movie, a great first effort from Zoe Kravitz. It has many hints of truth from recent headline-grabbing scandals. It has some shocking, bordering on horror, scenes, playing out women’s revenge fantasies on-screen. It’s a wild ride and it isn’t for everyone, but it has a lot of details worth noting. I liked the script, the acting, and the cinematography. Very cool entertaining movie.

    HOLLYWOOD’S PEDOPHILIA

Actually a disgusting movie, but very well acted. Disgusting in the sense it is a thinly veiled epic of Epstein Island and how women are molested and raped there against their will. This movie indicts a lot of movie stars rumored to be clients of Epstein – such as George Clooney, Steven Colbert, and Tom Hanks. Worth a watch. At least in this one it ends well.

good flick ,..with a couple messages and warnings..

warning : this has spoilers to the move..don’t read if you don’t want spoilers… I have heard this movie compares to what issues are going on in Hollywood as well as the music industry in the news lately,.. I can say that comments such as ” the worse the trauma the more they forget” was very telling…the mind does do things, to help the person in a traumatizing situation ‘forget’, so they can keep going on in life. also There are issues with “spiking’ around the entire world…people going to clubs and finding they’ve been robbed is the least horrible thing that can happen…it was a truthfully frightening look at what can happen with spiking…in the end when he was given the snake venom that made the lead man”more aware ” to actually start seeing the reality of the crimes he committed….and,…that he was ‘vaping’ the same thing he gave to the ‘guests”,..he was in control of his ‘forgetting’ or ‘not caring’ while the ‘guests ‘ were unaware they had been spiked but knew something was off… it’s not unsimilar to when a person “parties’ or drinks but doesn’t ‘take’ as much as the “target’ has unknowingly been given ,..I can see the relationship to how his vaping that made him not really forget per se’ but it made him just not care…this also can coincide with regular life how people gaslight themselves to just believe crimes like that are just no big deal..when it’s a huge crime.. it also is similar to the news issues with music bullies that would spike ‘targets ‘ and ‘guests’ that are actual crimes…it’s a good warning and also,….be aware it might be triggering depending on your own life experience.. the lead actor ,, went out of his comfort zone..I think most of the acting was right on par for their characters ,..it was well directed and had substantially good acting..the message was delivered …the ending..that was seriously surprising ..when she handed him his little vape bottle to keep him forgetting..now she switched the power…cool flick I would watch it again..

    Wow

Wow. Well, 96% of what I have to say about this movie is 5 stars. Let’s talk about the other 4%. In a true situation that I’m not going to spoil, things would go very differently. Similar happened in my life and it was very close how the scenes went. It wasn’t spot on what transpired but it was a few interesting twists for this story that made it less realistic for me. Again, I’m not spoiling you watching it!The part that is most disturbing and realistic is that the storyline is in fact happening for a lot of people in real life and not just rich people! Too many people have no idea until after they know. There are issues with our justice system – this isn’t about that, but in telling you it’s really happening, it’s an important fact as to why everyone has no clue. The ending was a twist that took me a bit to wrap my head around!Back to the 96%. The acting is excellent. The story keeps you guessing and it’s a great thriller that is great from the start to the finish. It’s got shocking twists, which I really love. Plus, I want to support Zoey Kravitz’ writing and directing! That’s awesome. Good for her.
