Please don’t spend your money.
Took me almost a whole day to finish watching it. I kept pausing it and walking off. Definitely not worth the hype. I can’t believe the producers killed off Mr. Darcy. Should’ve let Bridget have her happily ever after.SPOILERS: Please don’t spend your money. This movie is basically about Bridget Jones trying to rebuild her life (and get shagged) two years after Mr. Darcy’s untimely and tragic death. She navigates parenthood while dealing with grief. When she gets stuck on a tree, she is rescued by a handsome “Adonis,” as she calls him. The twist? He’s younger than she! It doesn’t matter to Bridget because she needs sex. Well, Adonis (whose real name is Roxster) seems to be helping Bridget put the pieces of her life together until he panics (what with the responsibility of raising another man’s children) and ghosts her. Luckily for Bridget, she has another love interest: her children’s teacher, played by the charming Chiwetel Umeadi Ejiofo.Honestly, Bridget was just pathetic. I did not like her children. I did not like her new story line. She’s mediocre and tragic. You should have lay this movie to rest just like you did Mr. Darcy. Truly, I spent most of the movie thinking about Mr. Darcy and Jane Austen than anything else. The scene with the white owl (which I am guessing symbolizes the spirit of Mr. Darcy watching over his family) was the most memorable of all…

Lovely!!! Reminiscent fun!
So reminiscent of the other Bridget movies, and perfectly done! Rene Z. was great, as was the entire cast! This made for a nice evening movie…just life at its daily best. So nice to not see violence for a change.

One Star
I wish I hadn’t wasted my money renting this. I was swayed by all the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the film didn’t live up to the hype. The story drags, lacking the energy and charm that made the previous movies so enjoyable. Bridget’s appearance—especially her unkempt hair—felt like an odd and distracting choice, and the chemistry with her new love interests just wasn’t there. It all felt forced and lifeless. Honestly, it might be time to end the series. Continuing it this way only takes away from what made it special in the first place.

Love This Movie But Sad That Mr Darcey Is Gone.
I liked the Movie. Did not like the F word being used a great deal. But I know they use it a lot in England. I have been in England at it is none stop. Ugh.The movie was great. I am glad she did not end up with the 21 year old-. and I am sad that her husband died. I cried a few times. I laughed and yes was happy for her at the end. So it was well played . And yes, if your a fan- worth the watch.

Not so good.
Not very impressed with this. All the other Bridget Jones movies were a lot better. It would have been better if they had spent 10 mins at the beginning showing what happened to Mark, showed the funeral etc. Instead you get a news report somewhere during the movie but it wasn’t very good. I was disappointed with this movie. Maybe I missed something so will watch it again to make sure.

A very touching movie
I rented the Bridget Jones Mad About the Boy movie, unsure what to expect, after all, it’s been years since the last movie, and I wasn’t sure how they’d bring Bridget back in a way that felt fresh without losing her signature charm. But I’m so glad I gave it a chance. This movie is heartfelt, funny, and surprisingly poignant.Renee Zellweger is still delightfully awkward, brutally honest, and somehow always relatable. Her emotional layers gave the film real resonance, especially if you’ve grown up with the character.Of course, there are still the classic Bridget moments, miscommunications, awkward encounters, and plenty of self-deprecating humor, but they’re balanced with a new emotional maturity that makes this chapter feel earned.Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering Bridget now, Mad About the Boy manages to strike a beautiful balance between nostalgia and growth. It’s about resilience, second chances, and learning that life, and love doesn’t end at 50. Thank you

A True Must See Film
THE best. So bright and witty, moving and beautifully written, acted and edited (cast is magnificent) and even the music, top notch. Poignant and completely riveting.
