Bela Lugosi stars as Dracula in the 1931 original screen version of Bram Stoker’s classic tale. Towering ominously among the shadows of the Carpathian Mountains, Castle Dracula strikes fear in the hearts of the Transylvanian villagers below. After a naive real estate agent succumbs to the will of Count Dracula, the two head to London where the vampire hopes to stroll among respectable society by day and search for potential victims by night. Directed by horror specialist Tod Browning, the film creates an eerie, chilling mood that has been rarely realized since and remains a masterpiece not only of the genre, but of all time.

Mr. Shannon D. Freeman –
A suspenseful movie!
This movie has changed some parts of the book Dracula. However, this movie has the earmarks of a vampire movie. It was scary back in the 1930s and 1940s, so enjoy the scary parts.

Oh Yeh- BELA
I just enjoy the old spookers, and Bela leads the pack. No slaughter scenes, black and white, had to have it.

A Classic! Need I say more?
If you like classic movies, get this one. Although there have been several Dracula movies, Bela Lugosi is still the best Count Dracula. Even though it was filmed nearly a century ago, there are still some very creepy parts.

Classic Movie worth Watching
Loved the movie and saw how future renditions by other directors would use this as the blueprint. Even though the special effects do not compare to modern day movies it was still worth purchasing.

One of the best Horror Films of all time
Bela Lugosi did a spectacular job as the 400+ year old Transylvanian noble who haunts London at nighttime. One of the best horror films to ever appear on screen.

One of the singularly most important, classic horror films of all time
“I am Count Dracula.” “Children of the night, what music they make”. What can I say, Bela Lugosi as the quintessential Count Dracula that we have all come to know and love. Van Helsing, Mina, Renfield et all. Set in Black and white, this ethereal, gothic movie on vampires, made in 1931 and directed by Tod Browning, set the stage for all vampire movies to come. No blood and guts, you are left to mull this piece in your own imagination. People even fainted in the theaters when Dracula first came out. A true masterpiece. To me, a horror movie buff for over 60 years, It ranks among the top 5 black and white masterpieces which also include Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Mummy, and the Invisible Man. Dracula is a must watch for all fans of horror films whether new or old.
