    Very entertaining

I wasn’t sure about this movie at first because I had never heard of it but my god what a great movie, from start to finish I was hooked.

    Interesting.

I watched this last night. Here are my thoughts. It was an interesting movie. A normal looking guy who has something very abnormal about him. Guy meets girl. Things happen. Simple, I guess.A bunch of things happen to show his unique qualities. I found them interesting and funny. For a while at least. After time though, it just seems a bit stupid. One scene, I believe he breaks his thumb. It just went too far. There is a difference in not feeling pain and destroying your body. Another scene with a tattoo and a phone number. It was so stupid.I did laugh at a part or two. But when the movie was finished, I just thought it was stupid and lacking any kind of personality or emotions. Also, I don’t think the guy in it was the right choice for such a role.

Painfully Boring Lack of Action or Adventur

“Novocaine” surprisingly fails to deliver on the solid concept of our potentially charming everyman hero being impervious to pain while on his classic quest to rescue a damsel in distress. The execution of this idea is botched to what seems an unimaginable degree.Leading man Jack Quaid exhibits little humor and no elan as he takes a massive perpetual licking and keeps on ticking as he chases the bad guys who have captured his significant other. Knowing in advance that he will be able to handle whatever injury is inflicted on him takes much of the fun of the movie. Even shouting “BURN” in a fight involving a hot frying pan would have provided a taste of the advertised fun.The film doubles down on the poor execution by heavily relying on decades-old tropes.Anyone who has seen at least 10 action-adventure films will immediately know that the cornered guy in the motorcycle helmet is a decoy and that the gunshot while the bad guy is about to off the “innocent” is courtesy of a previously unseen person shooting the villain in the back.Under better circumstances, the ongoing bit about our hero who cannot fell any sensation new or otherwise must remind himself to pee every three hours solely would have been an amusing aspect of the film. In this case, this reminds us that “Novocaine” could have been much better with a little more effort.

    Recommend:Tarantino meets Michael Bay

This movie goes hard. It’s like Tarantino meets Michael Bay. I highly recommend. One of the most fun movies of the year. Won’t change your life, but might make your night.

Funny movie as long as you don’t take it seriously.

An enjoyable 4K bluray. Just don’t think this could ever happen.
