Aaron Paul, born Aaron Paul Sturtevant on August 27, 1979, in Emmett, Idaho, is an American actor and producer renowned for his portrayal of Jesse Pinkman in the critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad (2008–2013). His performance earned him three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, a joint-record since the award's separation into comedy and drama, as well as a Golden Globe Award nomination. Paul also won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television a record three times. He reprised his role in the Netflix sequel film El Camino (2019) and made appearances in the final season of the spin-off series Better Call Saul (2022) . Beyond Breaking Bad, Paul has showcased his versatility in various film and television projects. He starred in the action film Need for Speed (2014), the drama Hellion (2014), and the historical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014). He voiced Todd Chavez in the animated series BoJack Horseman (2014–2020), for which he also served as an executive producer. In the science fiction genre, Paul portrayed Caleb Nichols in HBO's Westworld (2020–2022) and starred in the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror (2023) . In 2025, Paul starred in the sci-fi horror film Ash, directed by Flying Lotus. The film, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was released theatrically on March 21, 2025, features Paul alongside Eiza González, Iko Uwais, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, and Flying Lotus. Outside of his acting career, Paul is known for his philanthropic efforts. In 2013, he helped organize a contest to raise $1.6 million for his wife's non-profit anti-bullying organization, the Kind Campaign. Additionally, Paul and his Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston launched their own line of mezcal called Dos Hombres in 2019 . Paul is married to Lauren Parsekian, whom he met at Coachella. The couple has two children .
