Adrien Rouyard
Adrien Rouyard is a French actor best known for his portrayal of the iconic filmmaker François Truffaut in Richard Linklater's 2025 film, Nouvelle Vague, which chronicles the making of Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless. Born in 1992, Rouyard originally hails from Haute-Savoie and received his formal dramatic training at the prestigious Cours Florent, where he was accepted into the highly selective Classe Libre. Primarily focused on theatre, Rouyard has built a significant stage career, working with renowned directors like Christophe Rauck in productions such as Ben oui mais enfin bon and Richard II, as well as performing in plays by Alexandra Badea and Tiphaine Raffier. His role as Truffaut in Nouvelle Vague is one of his most prominent screen credits, where he embodies the fellow Cahiers du Cinéma critic and director who was a pivotal figure in the French New Wave movement.
