Aleksandr Viktorovich Yatsenko is a Russian actor born on May 22, 1977, in Volgograd, Russia. He began his acting career in student theatre before attending the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS), where he studied under the tutelage of Mark Zakharov. Although he was expelled shortly before graduation, he went on to build a successful career in film and television.Yatsenko is known for his versatility and has appeared in a wide variety of critically acclaimed films and television shows. His notable film credits include The Major (2013), Hardcore Henry (2015), and Arrhythmia (2017), for which he received the Jury Grand Prize at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. He has also appeared in TV series such as Dead Mountain: The Dyatlov Pass Incident (2020), where he starred with his The Master and Margarita co-stars Yana Sekste and Dmitry Lysenkov. In the 2024 film The Master and Margarita, he played the role of Aloysius Mogarych, a writer who betrays the Master.
