Aleksei Guskov (born May 20, 1958, in Brzeg, Poland) is a distinguished Russian actor and producer, renowned for his extensive work in theater, film, and television. He has been honored with the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 2007, the nation's highest accolade for performing artists . Guskov's early life was marked by the loss of his father, a military pilot, at the age of seven. Raised in Kyiv, he initially pursued studies at Bauman Moscow State Technical University before transitioning to the Moscow Art Theatre School, graduating in 1983 under the tutelage of Viktor Monyukov . His professional acting career began at the A.S. Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater, followed by engagements at various prominent theaters, including the Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre. In addition to his acting career, Guskov has taught acting at the Moscow Art Theatre School . With over 70 roles in cinema and television, Guskov gained significant popularity in Russia for his portrayal of Nikita Goloshchekin in the 2001 series The Border: Taiga Romance.
