Alex Moffat is an American actor and comedian, born on March 25, 1982. He gained prominence as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2016 to 2022. During his time on SNL, Moffat was known for his recurring original characters like "The Guy Who Just Bought a Boat" and "Film Critic Terry Fink," as well as his impressions of various public figures, including Eric Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Anderson Cooper, and Joe Scarborough.Before joining Saturday Night Live, Moffat was a Chicago-based improviser and performer at The Second City, ImprovOlympic, Annoyance Theatre, and Zanies Comedy Club. Beyond SNL, he has appeared in films such as Someone Great and Holidate, and made his Broadway debut in 2023 in the play The Cottage. In Summer of 69 (2025), he plays the role of DJ Don. Notably, he reprised his role as Eric Trump in a pre-taped sketch for the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special in April 2025.
