Alice Fearn is a British stage actress, born on October 23, 1983, in Bath, England, who later grew up in the village of Caldbeck, Cumbria. She trained at the prestigious Mountview Theatre School in London, graduating in 2005. Fearn's extensive career in London's West End began in 2004 as an understudy in The Woman in White at the Palace Theatre, followed by a run in Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre, where she played a Factory Girl and understudied Cosette and Fantine. Her notable stage credits include Rapunzel in Into the Woods (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre) and playing Gingy/Sugar Plum Fairy and understudying Princess Fiona in the original UK cast of Shrek The Musical. She is perhaps best known for her celebrated portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, which she played full-time from 2017 to July 2019, after being the standby for the role. Following Wicked, she played Captain Beverley Bass in the West End production of Come from Away until its closure in 2023. She has also appeared in the films Les Misérables and Sweeney Todd as a singer or cast member, and is scheduled to play the role of Heidi Hansen in the 2024 and 2025 UK tour of Dear Evan Hansen.
