Ana Sophia Heger is a young American actress who began her career in television at a very early age. Born in Los Angeles to a German father and an American mother, she is fluent in both German and English and also speaks some Spanish and French. Heger first gained recognition for her role as Lark Short, the daughter of the characters played by Colin Hanks and Zoe Lister-Jones, in the CBS television series Life in Pieces. She was a series regular from 2015 to 2019, starting the role when she was just three and a half years old. In 2021, she appeared in the film Things Heard & Seen.Heger's career has since expanded into more prominent film roles, and she is a lead actress in the 2025 crime thriller film She Rides Shotgun. In the film, she plays Polly, an 11-year-old girl who is taken on the run by her estranged ex-con father, played by Taron Egerton. Her performance in the film has been noted for her ability to convey a sense of vulnerability, precociousness, and budding resilience as her character is forced to grow up quickly while navigating a dangerous new reality.
