Armand Douglas "Armie" Hammer, born on August 28, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, hails from a family with significant ties to the business world; his great-grandfather was the prominent industrialist and philanthropist Armand Hammer. Raised in Dallas and the Cayman Islands before returning to Los Angeles, Hammer initially pursued acting against his parents' wishes. He began his career with guest appearances in television series before landing his first leading film role as Billy Graham in "Billy: The Early Years" (2008).However, it was his portrayal of the Winklevoss twins in David Fincher's critically acclaimed film "The Social Network" (2010) that brought him widespread recognition. This breakthrough led to a series of notable roles in films such as "J. Edgar," "Mirror Mirror," "The Lone Ranger," "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," and "Call Me by Your Name," for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. He also lent his voice to the character Jackson Storm in "Cars 3" (2017).In 2021, Hammer's career took a sharp turn following public allegations of sexual assault and the surfacing of disturbing messages attributed to him. These controversies led to him being dropped from several projects and facing widespread public scrutiny.
