Artem Pyvovarov

Artem Volodymyrovych Pyvovarov, born on June 28, 1991, in Vovchansk, Ukraine, is a highly influential "new wave" pop singer, songwriter, and sound producer who has become a defining figure in contemporary Ukrainian music. Despite having no formal musical education—having dropped out of music school after only three months of guitar lessons—Pyvovarov built a prolific career from the ground up, starting as the vocalist for the Kharkiv-based band Dance! Dance! before launching his solo career under the pseudonym Art Rey in 2012. Since then, he has released five studio albums, including the critically acclaimed Element of Water and Zemnoy, and has earned numerous accolades, most notably winning the YUNA Award for Best Song in 2021 for his hit "Déjà Vu" and being named Best Performer in 2022. He is also the visionary behind the cultural project "Your Verses, My Notes," where he revitalizes Ukrainian poetic classics by setting the works of literary giants like Ivan Franko and Taras Shevchenko to modern musical arrangements. In addition to his chart-topping music career, Pyvovarov gained international recognition as a voice actor by providing the Ukrainian voice for Lukas, the male lead in the 2023 global animated hit Mavka: The Forest Song. His involvement in the film extended to the soundtrack, where he collaborated with singer Khrystyna Soloviy on the lead single "Language of the Wind," which he also wrote and produced. Known for his high-energy performances and modern production style, Pyvovarov has maintained a massive digital presence with millions of followers and billions of views across streaming platforms. Beyond entertainment, he is recognized for his humanitarian efforts and cultural activism; during the full-scale war in Ukraine, he has used his international tours and platforms to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and promote Ukrainian culture globally, performing sold-out arena shows across Europe, the United States, and Canada throughout 2024 and 2025.
